MAXCases Announces Launch of MAXProtec Antimicrobial Protective Cases for Tablets, iPads and Chromebooks for K-12 Schools
Posted Dated: May 06, 2020

Available for any Custom-Fit Case with Minimum Order Quantity, MAXCases Antimicrobial Cases Simultaneously Safeguard School Device Investments and Student Health

Irvine, CA, (May 6, 2020) MAXCases, a leading manufacturer of protective cases and accessories for iPads, Chromebooks, laptops and tablets, announces the availability of antimicrobial protection with any of its custom-fit cases. The introduction of these MAXProtec antibacterial cases showcases the company’s commitment to safeguarding the health of educators and students as well as protecting their learning devices.

Available as an upgrade to any of the company’s custom-fit cases with a minimum order quantity of 500 pieces, the antimicrobial cases are enhanced with an embedded antimicrobial agent that is tested and certified to kill 99% of bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, which can cause serious illness in humans. Added to the TPU/TPE and polycarbonate during the production process, the FDA-approved antimicrobial destroys bacteria and fungi with silver ions, one of the most powerful biocides commonly used in medical devices, toys, sports equipment, kitchen utensils, bathroom products and more. More durable than surface-level disinfectants, the silver ion agent is continually present and active on the surface of these case materials, repelling bacteria 24/7.

The antimicrobial upgrade option offers an added degree of protection against pathogens at a time when awareness of germ transmission has become a critical aspect of education. As students and teachers use and share their iPads, tablets, and Chromebooks at home and in the classroom, MAXCases MAXProtec antimicrobial cases are an ideal complement to standard disinfecting and cleaning routines. Certified effective at destroying 99 percent of bacterial by a leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company, the embedded antimicrobial agent is also FDA-approved for safety. Silver ion agents are certified for use with food-contact products, and silver is neither toxic, flammable or corrosive.

“We are offering the antimicrobial upgrade option to give customers that are looking to maximize their health and safety protocols the ability to continue to gain the benefits of our protective cases while also gaining an added layer of protection for their users,” said Cameron Moore, President of MAXCases. “We’re using the same manufacturing process, with the addition of a customized silver ion agent blended into the TPU/TPE and Polycarbonate, so customers can count on these cases having exactly the same protective qualities that they have always relied on, plus the assurance that 99% of bacteria on the surface will be destroyed.”
