The MAXCases Extreme Shell-L Custom-Fit Case for Chromebooks and Laptops Recognized as a “2021 Best Remote & Blended Learning Tool” from Tech & Learning Magazine
Posted Dated: Mar 09, 2021

The Extreme Shell-L Offers Full-Surround Protection with a Lightweight Design and Lower Cost that Makes Device Protection More Widely Accessible to Schools and Families

IRVINE, CA (March 4, 2021)MAXCases, a leading manufacturer of protective cases and accessories for iPads, Chromebooks, laptops, and tablets, announced that its Extreme Shell-L custom-fit case for Chromebooks and laptops was recognized with a Tech & Learning Magazine Award of Excellence for Remote Learning. A new award created in response to the changing needs of educators, the 2021 Best Remote & Blended Learning Tools award recognizes products that helped schools pivot to meet the demands of educating students during remote and hybrid learning that resulted from the coronavirus pandemic.

The MAXCases Extreme Shell-L represents a new category of cases, one that delivers full-coverage for the device’s top and bottom, while focusing protection where it’s needed most to deliver a lightweight and cost-effective design. A custom-fit case for Chromebooks and laptops, the Extreme Shell-L includes a rugged top section that protects the expensive-to-repair screen-side of a device with a clear, rigid compound polycarbonate (PC) panel, surrounded by an impact-absorbing TPU bumper and enhanced corners. The device’s bottom is safeguarded against impact and scratches by another clear PC panel. The MAXCases textured MAXGrip spine-wrap connects the panels, delivering added hinge protection and a wide grip-assist surface.

Developed to support the needs of school districts, educators, students and IT staff, the Extreme Shell-L combines robust protection with a lighterweight design and lower cost. Rugged overhang top-side corners protect the lower side when the device is closed, while both sides are safeguarded by tough, clear PC panels that provide easy visibility and scanning of asset tags. The custom-fit design provides port access and supports all device functions.

By providing cost-conscious protection, the Extreme Shell-L makes device protection accessible to more schools and families at a time when student devices have become more susceptible to drops, dings and damage.

“In the wake of school closings and other adaptations to stem the spread of Covid-19, protecting student devices became more important than ever,” said Al Giazzon, CEO of MAXCases. “Student devices are critical for connecting learners and teachers during remote and blended learning. They’re also subject to more potential for damage as students carry them more often and use them more frequently in the less regulated home environment. We’re proud to offer with the Extreme Shell-L a product that not only provides critical protection, it does so at a price-point that more schools can afford.”
